Blockchain Explorer

Good morning everyone,

I have opened this topic because I imagine you have read lots of articles and webs talking about Blockchain technology and how will it change our lives. And you may even have investigated about some specific Blockchains such as Bitcoin or Ethereum.
However, from my point of view, one of the best ways to get to know what Blockchain is and how does it work is by using a Blockchain Explorer which shows us any change or movement in the Blockchain. This web-page shows us pretty interesting information about Bitcoin and Ethereum.

https://www.blockchain.com/explorer

In this explorer you will be able to analyze important values such as hashes, nonce, previous-hashes and even the pool or node who has closed the block and validated all its transactions.
I hope you find this useful and you learn from it.

Best regards,
Manuel Cortés (Spain)

Good afternoon Manuel,

Thank you so much for that incredible website, wich is full of relevant information and it explains really good the Blockchain tecnhology. I just want to add other websites that may be interesting for our work:

  • Coindesk is one of the top media websites for blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. CoinDesk features up-to-date news on bitcoin and other crptocurrencies, as well as updates on the recent development of the blockchain technology. https://www.coindesk.com//
  • Unlock is a platform that provides information, intelligence, insights and news on Blockchain, as a newspaper. https://www.unlock-bc.com/
  • Blockchain Demo is a web page completely different from the other. Here you can some videos that can help you to understand how does blockchain's structure work and there is also an open source code that you can download and try to create your own blockchain. https://anders.com/cms/460/blockchain/demo
  • Bitcoin Magazine was a publication devoted exclusively to Bitcoin. Now it also covers other cryptocurrencies and the blockchain technology in general. Bitcoin Magazine provides analysis, research, education and thought leadership at the intersection of finance and technology. https://bitcoinmagazine.com/
  • Goldman Sachs is a web page that summarizes very well what blockchain technology is and how it works. It seems to me that this is the best page for people who are beginning to learn blockchain technology-

I hope this information to be useful and do not hesitate to send other pages to help each other.

All the best,
David Corral Pazos

Good morning David,

Thanks for sharing all those interesting web pages, they will be very useful for everyone who is starting to learn about Blockchain and discovering Bitcoin and Ethereum.

I just want to add one more which I think might be useful. The following link won’t provide information about how does Blockchain work but instead, it is an interesting app to check how does the value of the different cryptocurrencies varies.

https://coin360.com/

This platform is known as COIN360, an interactive infographic which shows data about Bitcoin, Ethereum or any other virtual coin. As you will see, each coin has a measure according to its market value. BTC and ETH will be bigger than others. You will also observe different colors, red and green, depending on the direction the value of the coin is taking. If the value is increasing then the coin will be green, if the value is decreasing, it will be red.
This web page will help you understand the cryptocurrency market easily and in an intuitive way.

I hope you find this useful, let me know if you have any doubts.

Best regards,
Manuel Cortés (Spain)

Good morning everyone,

Before starting, I want to say that I really like this topic and I encourage everyone to post any interesting web page, video, or document that you think may be interesting and useful for our works.

I have just found a very interesting website, supported by Blockchain Institute (https://theblockchaininstitute.org/). It is full of information, quizzes, tutorials and software that you can download for free.

https://blockchain.wtf/

I also recommend you watching their YouTube channel.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKENI1wZKvZFjtgWGOq2pCQ

The reason I like this it is because they have a lot of information, it doesn’t matter if you are beginner or advanced. It explains very well the fundamental pillars of Blockchain and most of the information is very useful.

Do not hesitate to leave any other interesting website here.

Kinds regards,
