“容”in “容易”，there is no corresponding specific explanation . I checked the meanings extended from some ancient texts.
If you have to take it apart to understand it, you can use this method to remember it, but  this is just my understanding, unofficial:
（1）让：Tolerant
Examples:容我想想（Róng wǒ xiǎng xiǎng）Let me think about it.
（2）It can be understood as : 让……简单（Ràng……jiǎndān）to make it simple.
For example, 学中文很容易（Xué zhōngwén hěn róngyì）it is easy to learn Chinese. It can be understood that it makes learning Chinese easy.
For example: 不要淋雨，容易感冒（Bùyào lín yǔ, róngyì gǎnmào）It‘s easy to catch a cold if it rains.  It can be understood that  the rain makes the cold easier.
